Hey 👋 I’m Marianne,
founder of JAIKU

I’m a brand and content strategist, and award-winning photographer. My career has been shaped by a love for storytelling about real people, doing great things, and making the world a more exciting place. So, I started JAIKU to help brands tell compelling stories through their strategy and content.

My work has been featured in Design Week, The Sunday Times, BBC, The Guardian, Creativepool, and The Telegraph.

I also enjoy teaching and speaking about brand storytelling. My past speaking engagements include: British Library, Samsung, Peloton, BBC Radio, Squarespace x ábiké studio, and the Department for Business and Trade.

My superpower: I know where to find good stories, how to craft them, and how to sell them to any audience. I can spot a good story before others even see it.

The name JAIKU is derived from the Yoruba translation of Sunday — Ọjọ́ Aiku.

For the Yoruba people, Ọjọ́ Aiku represents:

longevity

Sunday is a day of immortality.
It represents the lasting value we’ll create for you.

peace of mind

Sunday is a day of rest.
This means you can leave your brand in our hands and not worry.

I work alongside my sister, Yossie. Together we have 15+ years combined experience of building brands with purpose.

We have a track record of running a business that stands out.

We built Puff Puff Ministry, a West African dessert brand backed by a strong community. Today, that business has worked with clients such as Netflix, Google, Meta, Nike, Twitter (now X), Bank of America, TikTok, Mediacom, Commerzbank, Octopus Investments, and Trustpilot.

So we get it — we’ve been in your shoes.

You can trust us.

Yossie Olaleye, Growth Strategist

I'm a content and communication strategist; and once upon a time, I was a poet. I help you craft good stories and build trust, bringing my experience from a variety of sectors, including private equity, central government, higher education and healthcare.

My superpower: I’m a creative, big-picture thinker with strong operational skills. I know how to generate new ideas and still do the ‘boring stuff’ (also known as content operations). At 21, I raised nearly £2,000 to self-publish my poetry collection and organise a book launch.
